South Africa

KenyaNEW.png

South Africa is a beautiful and very diverse country to visit.

We typically focus on areas around the Greater Kruger National Park (Sabi Sands Game Reserve), Phinda Game Reserve in KwaZulu Natal, Tswalu in the Kalahari as well as Cape Town and its surrounding fynbos areas including the majestic Cederberg Mountains where we ran a leopard research project for over 10 years.

Cape Town is often a brilliant destination to begin (or end) a safari. After a long flight to Africa, spending at least 3 nights in Cape Town really helps guests find their feet before heading off to wilderness areas anywhere in Southern Africa with ease. Sight-seeing in this beautiful city is almost endless: from Table Mountain to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, penguins at Boulders Beach to the Cape of Good Hope, there is so much to see and do. The many excellent restaurants and delicious wines to taste at very reasonable prices add to the attraction.

Spending more time in the Cape area will allow for visits to places like the Cederberg Mountains or botanical gems like Grootbos Nature Reserve.

The locations we use offer excellent wildlife viewing. The Greater Kruger area is a wildlife photographer's dream destination. Phinda complements the area and increases the diversity of the experience by being on the coast in this sub-tropical climate, while Tswalu affords the discerning safari traveller the opportunity to see some incredibly rare and elusive creatures such as pangolins or aardvark. This is not your ordinary experience but an amazing wilderness area to visit.
