The role of a True Wild Group Leader is to ensure the trip is stress-free and runs smoothly. This involves drawing a thread through the entire safari experience and building on guests’ experiences so the trip is well-orchestrated and flows. The leader will contextualize the experience in a global setting. They will also liaise with camp managers and guides to ensure that they know what guests are looking for and have already experienced. This prevents guests from receiving duplicate information and facilitates moving beyond checklists - from initial animal sightings to more subtle observations of behavior, ecological understanding, insights into species' roles in the ecosystem and conservation challenges. On top of this, they share their specific expertise.
