Quinton is a passionate conservationist from South Africa who has dedicated over 30 years to wildlife, working as a professional safari guide in Africa and a scientist specializing in big cat research and conservation. He began his safari career in 1993, guiding and managing some of the best camps in Africa. Complementing his love for wild places he became more involved in conservation work, completed his PhD on African leopards, and founded and served as CEO of the Cape Leopard Trust, a successful predator conservation NGO based in South Africa. In 2016 he founded and has been heading a mountain lion conservation project in Northern California called the Living with Lion Project, followed by initiating the nonprofit True Wild Conservation.

Quinton is a True Wild Safaris advisor and one of our expert guides. He knows these safari areas intimately and is very interested in animal behavior. With a particular affinity for leopards, those who have joined Quinton on a safari know that if there is a leopard around, Quinton will find it! Besides his knowledge of these systems, Quinton also brings his concern for human wildlife co-existence and is connected with key conservation projects in the regions. He likes to incorporate their work into the safari experience, or at least into the conversation.
